craftastic? more like craptastic :)

Disclaimer: I'm not "crafty" so if you are "crafty" please don't make fun of me.

I do believe this is my first crafty post. I really love the idea of doing DIY projects and I have a ton of them pinned on my crafty pinterest board, I am just usually too lazy to commit to anything :) It's kind of a lot of work to go out and buy everything needed for a DIY-er. But because I blogged about how much I love the DIY plastic animal craze and because Target has them in the dollar section AND because I already had spray paint I decided to give it a go. Craftastic.

I bought an elephant because I have a special place in my heart for them (this one's for you Grandma Highfill)and a giraffe because he/she is sticking his/her tongue out and I thought it was cute. Definitely he. Terry. Terry the Giraffe and Olga the Elephant.

Next I spray painted them silver, may I just say how much I love spray paint?!?! Because I really do. When we bought our house 4 years ago my mom and I spray painted EVERYTHING! Our bed, armoire, coffee tables, nightstands, all of Mila's nursery furniture, decor, etc. Anyways, back to my awesome craftiness :)

Such a transformation! Next I got out some pink spray paint and sprayed some on a paper plate and then painted a few of Olga's body parts....

Okay so this isn't the coolest thing out there but I like them and I think they will be cute on Mila's bookshelf.

By the time I finished Olga I was kind of bored and I had Gossip Girl and some ice cream in the freezer calling my name :) So Terry isn't finished yet, I'm thinking yellow.
