Once a week we have a "sister dinner." My sister, Sarah and our adopted sister, Mary and I head to dinner sans kiddos (we each have 3...yeah 9 kids under the age of 6 between the three of us...yes, we know we're crazy) to unwind. Our "regular" hot spots include: McGlinn's, the robin, the bees, South, Iwa, the Olive Garden, and Garlini's. We talk about our husbands, our kids, how stupid we think cats are, other people who we like/are annoyed by, and whatever else finds its way into our conversations.

After dinner we sometimes see a movie but most of the time we had to Target. Exciting stuff, we know. We grab one cart, Sarah pushes because she is the oldest and I usually run into things. We wander down the isles putting a few staple items in the cart, some impulse buys, and some things that ride around in the cart for a while and then get out back when we realize we probably don't "need" said item. Last night Sarah and Mary tried on halloween costumes, which "I hate to tell you this, but you are not allowed to try costumes on AND you are not allowed to take pictures." We spent about an hour there. Walking slowly, taking advantage of the present company.

We look forward to this night all week, and its not that we don't like spending every night with our families, but I think to keep our sanity these mamas need some sister time :)
